This was mentioned in another thread of mine but i thought it would be very intresting to learn where everyone heard about Guru? ill start, i learned about Guru when i was voting for my guild as one of the top 200 guilds, and at the very top it said "guildwarsguru.com the only site that looks good in a bikini" or something like that, and so i had to visit there! and i did and now i love it (im preety sure this is how i found out about it anyways) so where did you guys find out about guru? (and if there is another threads like this my apologies, i did a search but found nothing)

i had noticed that some of the more interesting members of the community starting to move away from other forums. then i heard of a fansite friday on a website run by all those folks..

This site was only one listed under GW's preferred sites.....and after also trying the other sites this was one of only a couple that didnt try to argue "secret" cookies" with my computer.... all is fine though...my comp kept spitting them back out. Gotta love firewalls.

Yup, this is how I found it too. I had also read a lot of Sausalatarus Rex posts in the other forums. He knows what he is talking about. I also read Charles Ensign's ELMO Zealot build, in TGH - and was very impressed. When I then saw Dajii's post in TGH and found Saus and CxE as contributors on this site I was hooked. There are a lot of other good contributors/admins here too.

I read a post at TGH about a site opening that was run by a lot of familiar names from both OGaming and TGH (who had all mysteriously quit those a few months earlier. Mystery solved I guess).

I found this site from the main Guild Wars site shortly after the last BWE. I was wanting more information since I can't experiance the game yet the way it is ment to play(evil slow 'puter).

Guild Wars Guru is listed as their "current recommended site" in their community forums, and I have enjoyed the site ever since.

Someone told me about it on TGH's IRC channel. The first time I actually visited the site was when Dajii linked to it on his post on TGH.

I found out about it the same way. I was searching for information about GuildWars in the FAQs on the main site for guildwars asnd saw the lsit of fan site. Skipped over them teh firs time, but the second i checked the first one because "GuildWarsGuru" sounded liek a good palce to get information. I am very gald I found this palce because i can get tons of information about the game before I even play it.

I found it by sheer luck. I logged onto the OGaming IRC channell for the first time in months, and THX was there and mentioned it while taking to someone, telling them about the new site he and the other where opening, and thats how I found this place.
